Retreat at Zephyr Point

Retreat“Will ya, won’tcha, ain’tcha gonna . . .” The Plunger Game . . . Learning to play tone chimes . . .

If you’re wondering what these are all about, ask any one of those who attended the Retreat at Zephyr Point April 16-18. What started out as an event of Dean and Jan Percy's flock grew, and 79 of our congregation blazed the trail for our first church retreat.

It was a very special time of fellowship and spiritual renewal. Special speakers were Bruce and Karol Brown, who entertained and challenged us to practice the presence of God in our daily lives. The beautiful surroundings of Lake Tahoe and the Sierra Nevada were conducive to times of meditation and reflection.

Retreat planners Walt and Joann Kerfoot did a superb job, with a wide variety of group activities as well as planned free time. The food was great, the accommodations comfortable and clean. Everyone agreed it was a positive experience, and plans are to make it an annual event.
