Ladies Fall Luncheon is a success!
|
The ladies fall luncheon the
first meal function in our new building was deemed a success by all
involved.
Leonard Shott and his
Chair-Men cleared the auditorium and set up tables and chairs in
record time. Then the decorations committee went to work, transforming the
auditorium, with a Yellow Brick Road leading to the platform where
life-size figures of Dorothy, The Tin Man, Scarecrow and Lion waited, and just
beyond them, a beautiful rainbow over an angel figure. |
Wizard of Oz characters occupy the platform.

Gerry Mathews, Cela Armstrong (behind counter) and Carol Patrick. |
Forty pounds of chicken, 15 pounds of
rice, a crate of grapes and many other ingredients were used by Bettie
Jennings, Cathy Hooper, Carol Patrick, Gerry Mathews and Cela Armstrong to
create beautiful and delicious luncheon plates for the 239 guests.

presentation edited by Kent and Sally Simcoe accompanied Carolynns story.
Other highlights included a medley of
songs by Voice of Joy (Barbara Latter, Jan Percy and Mary Smith)
and group singing led by Joann Kerfoot.
Many thanks go to the committee
