Nearly 200 shoe boxes filled with
Christmas gifts for boys and girls around the world were taken from PGCC to the
staging area in Auburn on Friday, November 17. Paul Neil donated his pickup
truck and time to drive the boxes to Auburn. Ladies from Hearts and Hands for Others sorted and wrapped
boxes as needed, and bagged them for loading. Members of the Choir helped to
load Pauls truck.
From Auburn, the boxes are shipped in
huge truckloads to Samaritans Purse headquarters in South Carolina. Then
they will be distributed worldwide to children who would otherwise have a very
dismal Christmas.
Along with the toys and articles, the
boxes contain the good news of Jesus Christ. Thank you to all the generous
members and friends who participated in Operation Christmas
