Sunday evening concert is warmly received

On February 11, “Voice of Joy” presented the first dessert concert at PGCC. Nearly 400 people attended the event and enjoyed the vocal selections by the trio, Mary Smith, Jan Percy and Barbara Latter; Mary’s solos; Jan’s piano styling; and the “sing-along” portion of the evening.

The tables in the auditorium were beautifully decorated in Valentine motif, complete with candles and chocolates. A delicious dessert was provided by many of our women and served by members of the choir and other helpers. The fellowship around the tables was warm and enthusiastic. More than $2,000 was received for the music department. Additional concerts of this type will be planned for the future, featuring our own musicians as well as talent from other sources.
