The book of Jonah will forever be etched in the minds of the 78 folks who gathered at Zephyr Point Conference Center for the third annual PGCC Retreat. Rev. Bill Mangrum of Mendocino very effectively brought the story home in each of the sessions.

It was a great time of spiritual and physical refreshment, and the cool weather and snow only added to the feeling of a real get-away. There were plenty of activities, from art and tone-chime classes, to hiking, to cutthroat dominoes competition. The food was good and plentiful, the beds comfortable, and the fellowship unbeatable. If you’ve never tried a retreat, plan to join us next year.

Thanks to retreat planners, Walt and Joann Kerfoot, who provided a splendid time for us.
