Welcome to the Women's Ministry of Pleasant Grove Community Church! We are here to serve you because we believe women are designed by God to meet the needs of other women. Our purpose is to encourage you to develop and maintain a vital relationship with Jesus Christ, through prayer, study, outreach activities, and service.

Please accept this as a personal invitation to be part of Women's Ministry.

It was with great sadness that we learned of the death of our dear friend Dorothy Burleson. She was a lady who was always there, ready to serve our cause. We continue our White Cross Project which is making layettes for babies in Cameroon and also wrapping bandages. But on March 20th, we again will have our Baby Shower. There is a speaker from the Sacramento Life Center, Roseville Clinic. All women are cordially invited to attend and share in the excitement and fun of opening all those packages with items for the little ones.

top Bible Studies

We believe it is so important to continue to learn and grow in the Word of God. A wide selection of Bible Studies is offered, from an introductory level to an in-depth level. You are encouraged to become involved in one of these groups for friendship and spiritual growth.  Click to see offered classes.

top Prayer and Praise Tree

Prayer is the power behind all we do! If you would be willing to pray for special needs as they arise in the Church Family, you are invited to become a part of this phone ministry.

Sixty members faithfully prayed for 329 prayer requests in 2006. If you have a prayer request call Dorothy Stone.

top Tea Lady

A lady with a "visiting tea basket" contacts the newcomers to our church. It is her desire to help them get better acquainted and to provide any additional information that may be helpful to them.

top Memorial Receptions

Refreshments are served to help bring comfort and encouragement to families going through a difficult time.

top New Beginnings

This group is for new widows to give them fellowship and encouragement.  They welcome to those who have recently lost loved ones. Come find a friend and be a friend.

It meets the 3rd Thursday of each month and presently is meeting at 1 PM at Muntean's. Please call Margaret Ellestad for more information.

top Singles' Valentine Luncheon

On Friday, February 8, 2008, we hosted 140 single and alone ladies for the annual Valentine Luncheon. We were pleased that this was a significantly larger number than in previous years. This is always a wonderful day with great food, message and a remembrance to take home.
